Stavanger Forum: Stavanger exhibition venue
Stavanger Forum is Stavanger's principal conference and exhibition complex in Norway. Its facilities provide around 30,000 square metres of exhibition space for trade fairs, conferences, concerts and professional meetings.
The complex is the regular home of Offshore Northern Seas (ONS), its largest recurring event, held every other year. The ONS 2026 exhibition and conferences use its halls and meeting spaces at Gunnar Warebergsgate 13.
Recurring trade fairs and venue calendar
- OTD Energy: an annual professional exhibition for oil, gas, offshore energy and the supply chain. The next confirmed edition is 20-21 October 2027; the 2025 edition recorded 19,756 visits, 350 exhibitors and more than 3,200 represented companies.
- Autopia Expo: an annual exhibition covering cars, motorcycles, commercial vehicles, motorsport and accessories. The 2027 edition is announced for 2-4 April and will occupy 22,000 m².
- Offshore Northern Seas (ONS) 2026: this is biennial, not annual. It is the venue's largest exhibition: Stavanger Forum reports around 60,000 participants and visitors, while ONS 2026 uses nine halls for more than 1,000 exhibitors.
- Agrovisjon: a triennial agricultural fair held at Stavanger Forum since 2007. The 2025 edition received 18,600 visitors and the next edition is announced for 2028.
The dominant sectors are offshore energy, oil and gas, energy transition, industrial suppliers, automotive and agriculture. These sectors follow from the four documented recurring exhibitions rather than a generic venue classification.
Location within Stavanger and economic role
Stavanger Forum is in Tjensvoll, beside Mosvannet park and Stavanger's sports complex, west of the city centre. The venue gives travel times of 20 minutes on foot through Mosvannsparken, 3-5 minutes by car and about 6 minutes by bus from the centre. Stavanger-Sola airport is about 15 minutes away by car.
The site has 289 spaces in P-Forum and 360 in P-Siddis. Airport access, nearby hotels and the concentration of ONS and OTD make it a commercial node for the energy industry: OTD 2025 brought together professionals from 3,200 companies and ONS 2026 exceeds 1,000 exhibitors.
Other Norwegian venues and differences
NOVA Spektrum in Lillestrøm is the closest national comparison. It has five halls and 40,000 m², against Stavanger Forum's approximately 30,000 m² of exhibition space, and hosts more than 50 events per year. It stands beside Lillestrøm station, 10 minutes by train from both Oslo and Gardermoen airport.
NOVA Spektrum serves the Oslo national market across many sectors. Stavanger Forum is smaller but sits inside Norway's energy capital and concentrates the country's major offshore gatherings: ONS, OTD Energy and their supplier networks.
