2026 edition and announced scale
Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics - Autumn Edition 2026 runs from 25 to 27 August. Messe Frankfurt announces more than 3,500 exhibitors from 30 countries and regions across 240,000 sqm.
The fair is co-organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, the Sub-Council of Textile Industry of CCPIT, and the China Textile Information Center. Its four official pillars are Fashion Forward, Performance Textiles, Sustainability, and Textile Future.
Dates, opening times, admission and venue
The exhibition opens from 09:00 to 18:00 on Tuesday 25, Wednesday 26, and Thursday 27 August 2026 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) Shanghai, in China. The south entrance is at 168 East Yinggang Road, Shanghai.
Admission is free and restricted to trade visitors aged 18 or over. Every participant must pre-register online at least one day before visiting and present a valid travel document at the fairground.

Confirmed country and region pavilions represent Hong Kong, India, Italy through the Italian Trade Agency and Milano Unica, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Türkiye, alongside the France Zone. New exhibiting countries listed for 2026 include Côte d'Ivoire, Egypt, Malaysia, Nigeria, Norway, Sweden, and Thailand.
Named first-time international exhibitors include Duraflex USA at 1.1-E73, the Egyptian Cotton Association at 5.1-C22, Kaneka at 4.1-H127, and Starich Recycling Technology at 5.1-B05.
Functional Lab and performance textiles
Functional Lab is centred on The CUBE and covers thermal regulation, comfort, moisture management, protection, and sustainability. The official release identifies Burlington at 4.1-J114, EMS-GRILTECH at 4.1-J116, LOXY AS at 4.1-K121, and Prutex at 4.1-E112.
Eight group pavilions supplement this area. The LYCRA Company pavilion at 4.1-E56 announces COOLMAX CloakFX fibre, LYCRA FiT400 fibre, and Renewable LYCRA fibre.
Trends and accessories
Intertextile Directions Trend Forum presents A QUEST FOR ESSENCE for Autumn/Winter 2027-28 with samples from Beyond Denim, Functional Lab, and Premium Wool Zone. MUSEATIVE's seminar and the forum tours feature its creative director, Kai Chow.
Accessories Vision covers apparel accessories. The 2026 release names Notape International at 1.1-E53 and Bostik at 1.1-B93 in this area.
Sustainability, traceability and production
Econogy Hub, Econogy Finder, Econogy Talk, and Econogy Tour form the sustainability programme. The session co-organised with Textile Exchange includes representatives from UNIFI, Birla Cellulose, Circ Inc, SynMetabio Technology (Hangzhou), and Fujian Cyclone Technology.
The textile trust-chain panel brings together Donghua University, Coats Digital, Haelixa, and OEKO-TEX to address DNA-based physical traceability, AI efficiency standards, and digital compliance certification.
Innovation and digital solutions
Textile Future includes the Innovation & Digital Solutions Zone, which presents digital product-development tools, AI-powered solutions, and supply-chain optimisation technologies.
Pet Boutique appears at the Autumn Edition for the first time after its Spring Edition debut and presents textile applications for pet apparel and accessories.
Buyers and scheduled meetings
The matching programme connects around 50 VIP buyers from 14 countries and regions with exhibitors and schedules approximately 330 meetings. Named markets include Australia, Brazil, India, Korea, Spain, the UAE, the UK, and the US.
Nine international buyer delegations comprise approximately 180 delegates from Bangladesh, Italy, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Thailand, Türkiye, Vietnam, and other markets. Connect PLUS operates before, during, and after the show.
Concurrent fairs and visitor profile
Intertextile takes place alongside Yarn Expo Autumn, CHIC, and PH Value at the same venue. The organiser lists garment manufacturers, mill sourcers, trading companies, import and export corporations, agents, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and apparel-textile service providers as eligible trade visitors.
The published offer includes apparel fabrics and accessories, functional textiles, denim, wool, sustainability solutions, and digital tools. Each visitor requires an individual badge, and people under 18 are not admitted.
